The mission of the Southern Illinois Coal Belt Champion Community, Inc. shall be to help the citizens of the Illinois counties of Perry, Franklin, Williamson, Jackson, and Jefferson achieve a future of great prosperity, economic vitality that fully supports their employment aspirations, vibrant communities with full access to lifelong learning, quality health care, and modern infrastructure, and bonded, loving families committed to the academic, moral, and ethical education of their children and endowed with a respect and admiration for our senior citizens. In meeting the challenges of this mission, SICBCC will work closely with the United States Department of Agriculture’s Rural Development and other federal, state, local, and private sector organizations.
